They last that long? The guy in the cattle truck beside me put his garage back on his truck, then the LAZY SOB got out and threw HIS F:@&# GARBAGE back on the ground. NO INTEGRITY ,NO RESPECT,IGNORANT WILSON EMPLOYEE!!!! In dodge city,KS y'all!!! Make him famous 11x posted.

Equipment is good, home time is good if you're company, pay was decent bout 800 to 1000 a week and they basically are just Prime Jr. Only loads hauled are Prime loads. Don't go lease unless you want to live in your truck and train people. Wouldn't work here if you already have hour CDL, this is a starter company. They operate under the good Ole boy system so if you're not a people person, I do not recommend. Their leasing program will only workout for you if you never go home and train all the time. It's 1200 a WEEK and you don't even get to keep the truck. Scam.

Good equipment, pad trainers are good. Training to get cdl was great imo

Some of the higher ups are angry *****. Dispatchers will lie alot. The Last month of your contract they will try to make you quit or so I hear.

the guy below who is a lease op is telling you in a coded way the truth---you will only really make money as a lease op if you train people. that way you can have a co-driver, get a training fee, keep your "business" running 22 out of 24 hours a day, and share your glorious living space with a stranger. and those guys training you in their truck try to sell the newbies on that truck lease, before they even have their full license and ability to solo and without any experience as an employee. hmm, maybe they are getting a fee for that too? nawww..... the kicker is this: it's all a scam. the training is to indenture you into a year's contract of wage slavery and the only option for "more" is to sign a lease. except with that lease, you are even more a prisoner of the company you work for. because if that truck stops running so you can go home and get proper sleep (or if you are stupid and don't take the student driver or get a co-driver), you are essentially paying them over a thousand a week to sleep and do laundry in your own house. with medical insurance, you can go back to work owing them a lot of money before the tires start rolling again after home time. and all of the other fees. a solo person doing that lease op thing will earn --according to the IRS-- $79k a year that they will be double taxed on (as your own boss, you will pay double the taxes) and they can bank about $42k. and then the IRS will tell you that you owe them $16k (all of this can vary a bit if you set up your business differently, but the double taxation doesn't go away). i know, because i went through that stuff with my husband at taxtime. meantime, you earned the company $200k on their lease. and now you owe the IRS $16k and the state a few thousand. and yeah, if you have almost no living expenses, you might have been able to pay those taxes over the year but that means this lease op thing will only work if you have no family members to support, no mortgage, car payment, etc and eat like a college student. AND train students and share your glorious sleeping closet to boot. and they changed the lease contract recently to "pay off" sooner (3 years instead of 5---what do you want to bet it's because the truck starts incurring some serious maintenance costs at the 3+ year mark, which then makes a lot of lease ops turn back in their keys and resume their normal lives not being a slave to the truck lease? i bet they were losing a lot of people on the realization that they still haven't managed to pay off a depreciating asset)so i am sure the cost is even higher now to stay in the lease-op game and be "profitable".

Been with Wilson 14 years. Have been training students the entire time. As a lease operator and trainer I can't complain. Take home easily 110k after all expenses and taxes. I've received 20,000 in longevity bonuses. Over 5000 in safety bonuses. 30k plus in trainer bonuses. If you have good work ethic and understand business it's a great opportunity. Trucking can be challenging but it boils down to the individual. Wilson provides the equipment and proper tools and training. Put in the effort and time and you will get good results.

If anything better screening of perspective employees. Too much time transferring license.
