orientation they talk fast but they're trying to get you to your truck. that's a pro not a con. Takes a couple weeks to see what's coming out of your money.. That's when you have to establish your budget. Me personally I don't need a budget I'm single. I can afford a $200,000 truck on a payment plan.. lease financing keyword.

Pros

it is what they said it would be. Yes there's a lot of deductions in the beginning. Is what they said it would be. you will hit green

Cons

Watch out for trailer repairs no matter what it is it's coming out of your pocket.

They make a lot of promises and they did do what they tell you and you run a lot for them and they take your money and then apologize to you I wanted to stop OTR and run local for Milo’s and which I did that and but I told him the only way I would do that run if I could have my truck fix to get back and forth to work ok no problem we will help you fix your truck just let me know when my truck was fixed I couldn’t get in touch with that person and he know I was down to one car in the house hold and I would drive and hour and a half to Bessemer and back home .and when I think I was going to be late I would text my boss and he would tell me it’s all good playing me to the left but it’s all good when you have good CDL you could go anywhere as a driver I give RE GARRISON A YEAR OF MY LIFE AND THEY DONT AppreciateThere drivers like they say they do just take and lie to driver but you can’t listen to a person when they tell you that’s a good company just a lesson to be learned

They seem to want to keep you out regardless of how many weeks you’ve been out running. If you’re going home you can count on a very small check. They put you on loads for way too long. I average two maybe three loads a week. They have top notch equipment but if you can’t make any money it’s irrelevant. 50k a year for OTR and that’s at .60 per mile.

Good equipment

Was seeking to make 28 to 32,000 a month gross figures and was told I could no longer do orientation because my 8 expectation was too high that my goals that I had set was too high goals for them to try to reach they had a goal of $18,000 to 20,000 a month gross for trucks this was unheard of to me I guess they look for people with low expectation

Pros

Nice trucks friendly people for the most part great facility

Cons

Did understand the low expectations for gross revenue on trucks not to pressure drivers or anything of that nature but encouraging low expectation

Ran into a couple here in Jackson Mississippi. Nice people. Said they are a good company but that some people have trouble....I'm learning that every company is good to some bad to others......they had a nice lime green Cascadia and seemed to like what they did.

I was a lease operater with Garrison. They will run you out of the gate pretty good. And then get ready. To starve that is. Everything I am putting down is truth. Try and force you to do short runs. 2000 to 5000 mile runs that take from two to days. When they send rates to you on qual com. It never adds up. I never could figure it out. If you are from Alabama you stand a chance. But if you are from out of Alabama you are in trouble. And dont expect that escrow. They will take it. I am looking into legal action now against them. I know they Have lost contracts. And dedicated lanes. There qual com's sure find away of being cut off on broker loads they cant cover. Just to mention. This is really not the old Garrison. It was sold out sometimes back. They lost one of there contracts last year. Ventura foods. Alot of no paying chicken runs. When I say that. You could have a couple picks. But! Be ready to spend a couple days getting it. Dont ask for detention lol. There is tons of reasons to run from these people. My advise is run. You are going to lose.
