Very corporate and bad maintenance. Culture is good but that varies by terminal and department. A lot of things fall on deaf ears.

Pros

Culture, newer trucks and decent 401k

Cons

They don’t pay for experience or value tenured drivers

Supervisors only care about impressing management, if your a driver they could care less if your having trouble next to road.

Pros

None

Cons

Everything , management sucks

The Auburn, Maine terminal is where I’m out of, and the management is first class. The benefits are decent, everyone is home daily, or every other. The equipment is fair, and the new trucks aren’t anything special. The trailers are old, but in good shape. The pay could be better, but the management and the culture here make up for it. They ask a lot from you, but give you a lot, too. I can’t speak for other terminals, just this one.

Pros

Culture, benefits, management, home time

Cons

Pay could be better as well as the equipment

They treat drivers like door mats here. Turnover is high because terminal managers encourage driver conflicts. Cameras in trucks, and everywhere you load and unload. If you work at a prison and are looking for a place to go, maybe this would fit you.

Company is ok. Supervisors leave you alone. Company only cares about what you can do for them on a daily basis. Pay can be better for california standards. Lots of work when the refineries are running at 100%. Ups and downs throughout the year. I dont like how the company tries to encourage you use your PTO during slowdowns.

Pros

Home daily. Day and night shift. 2 consecutive days off.

Cons

Benefits are ok at best. Not enough sick days(24 hours a year) Every truck has blown shocks. Every driver act like supervisors and will tell on you. You will work on weekends. Pay is determined by quarterly load average.
