I could use more insight specifically around the hours per day and schedule.

A recruiter said i would run 11 hours per day. 8 days out at .50cpm for a newbie.
assume that isnt straight 11 hours. 8 hours and a break and then keep trucking?

I’m in Colorado. My 2019 Freightliner Cascadia (DD15) has been at an independent mechanic’s shop for 8 months. It originally went in for what was believed to be a head gasket issue. The cylinder head was sent to a machine shop for repair, but after reassembly the truck still isn’t fixed.

I’m 19 years old and starting up CDL school in the Midwest. I'm looking closely at starting with Halvor Lines and or some other company in the area. I've had a lot of people tell me to stay local and others to go straight into OTR because if I stay local I'll get too comfortable. What do you guys think?
