Well I did say you might have to start at the bottom of the heap working local too. You just have to work your way up just like starting at the bottom OTR your not instantly going to make the big bucks OTR. And the way it's looking you never will OTR. I started at $13 delivering shingles and sideing. Nice trucks and well taken care of but not for me I move onward and found other local jobs that in some cases better and some worse but point is I moved on and never once went over 100 miles, unless you count the trip back then you can say 200 but you get what I'm saying.

I see your point though pay out that kinda money just to be back at sqaure one again before you had your license.

I thought at first that it was a refresher course for experienced drivers, but it isn't listed under the "experienced" catergory. it's listed under "student." a student is someone who just graduated from school. here's what it states...

"CR England has a school refresher program that has been designed to train individuals who have graduated from a certified truck driver training school, other than a CR England driving school; or, has a valid class A license with no recent tractor-trailer driving experience."

individuals who have graduated from school....and no recent experience. that would include people who just completed trucking school. they should have said "experienced drivers, but who haven't driven in the last (how ever many) months/years" or whatever would've made more since. but to PAY a company that you're going to work for - sorry, ain't happening. and $1,500?? jesus christ monkey balls. can't you take the entire course at the community college for about $600?????????????

I am with Swift, and at this point do not have any regretes (3 1/2 months with them) be good to them and they (should) return the favor. Get a good a good DM, so far I am very happy with Swift, because I needed a place to start, and they gave it to me.

there is NO shortage of stupid people. go down to your local wal mart some time. you'll see what I mean.

not sure what a "regretes" is. or "a good a good DM." but somehow I'm not surprised that you're with swift, or that you're happy with them.

Wow why are you dissing me so hard? I find this odd, ok maybe not the best speller..... any other issues? are you here to help or just put others down. If I have it wrong, please accept my appolige, but so far I find that you are picking on me because,
    1. I work for swift
    2. I am happy
    3. I am not a spelling bee champ.

Did I miss anything? How on earth did I offend you so quickly by being happy?

there are 2 college courses. the most expensive being 1300. i don't know how england gets away with what they do. it amazes me that the govt hasn't shut them down. no matter how you go about workng for them. (lease or company) you pay them to give you a job working for free. and in return. you get a bad dac and credit report. i got lucky on the dac. waited 2 years and disputed the credit. disappeared without a fight. but if you also notice they only doing teams now. i've heard there are 2 trainers and one trainee to a truck. i can't beleive they have that many people working for free. specially the leasers. paying all those ungawdly fees so they can have a negative check every week. then i've read somewhere that the leasers only get dispatched just enough to make the truck payments ONLY.

    local jobs=food stamp pay.

local jobs??? there's only been one posting a month around these parts.
