HAMMER Truck GPS Launches!

Hey @mitrucker , so excited to hear HAMMER worked pretty well on your trip. Thanks for giving us a try. I am going to reach out to our developers about the arrow not changing directions. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

Is there any plans for truckstops etc to show up on the route, or even to be able to search for places along your route?

 

@mitrucker Good question! Yes, there is a way to turn on Truck Stops as a point of interest. As for being able to search along the route, that is a feature that will be available in an upcoming update.

To be able to view Truck Stops:

1. On the map screen, please tap the "View" icon
2. Enable "Places"
3. Enable "Truck Stops"

We are constantly working on improving the app and adding features, so suggestions are always welcome

 

I'm gonna make a couple of suggestions. Kinda pulling them from other GPS apps I've used. Such as Waze. How about adding the feature to share your location, so that way friends can see when they're in the same area, or the such. Also the option to post road issues. Such as disabled vehicles. Traffic accidents, Police...etc. Lastly, a real time weather radar over the route. Allowing to see if you are heading into snow, rain...etc. Not sure how likely that later one would be. But I know I'd personally love that. Thanks.

 

Hey @FLtoOKBound , we love hearing suggestions! It helps us create a better app. I will submit this to our development team so they can take a look into these features. I will say, in an upcoming update, we will have weather overlay. That update should be coming in a few weeks! Thank you so much for bringing these suggestions to our attention, we definitely appreciate it.

 

Downloaded the app yesterday, looking forward to using it in conjunction with my atlas and alternate GPS. It's been years since I went anywhere I didn't know every turn, and I always like to have more tools than I need.

I've been using it for a couple months now, these are a couple issues I've noticed.
1. Interstate exchanges, particularly when there are multiple Interstate exchanges one after the other. For example, Hwy 51 in Wausau,Wi to Hwy 29 The app will say to take the exit but doesnt say anything about having to take the next exit(I think its exit 191A) almost immediately
2. When having multiple stops on a trip there's no ability to cancel a stop without having to start a new trip. For example. I have 4 stops altogether, 1st 2 are drops, second 2 are pickups. after my 1st stop I get a call that stop 3 has cancelled, I have to cancel the whole trip and start a new one.

The ability to customize a route would be nice too, even adding a drag and drop type option like there is on Yahoo maps would help.

I'm going to go ahead and get this sent over to our development team to address as soon as possible. We are working on a big update with new features and fixes to be released in the near future. We love all the suggestions/feedback we receive, keep them coming

 

I tried an address from my house to a location in MD. I did not enter my address but let it find the route from my location. From DFW it's a straight shot on I30 to Little Rock where I'd change to I40. However, Hammer takes me North to I635 and around Dallas down to I30. I30 is just a few miles from my house and would be much faster yet there is no option I can find to change the route. It's the same when I enter my address. Google maps will give me that option. Is that option available in Hammer and I missed it?
