Did you install that light bar on the headache rack or it was already on when you got it?

@JonJon78 . It looks like how they made the frame for the light bar , they just drilled holes in the sides and bolted that metal piece into the frame of the headache rack which is bolted to frame of truck. Look like a pretty easy job to do urself . Can take some pics if u wanna see it closeup

PoleCrusher, FerrissWheel and JonJon78 Thank this.

Well its only got 2 positions open n close . It has an air valve to release pin and close it but i havent got around to it. After reading the instructions on the side of trailer frame it makes my head spin halfway thru lol . . I try and see if i can get it to work this weekend

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

Yes, when you get a chance I would appreciate it. I'm looking to do something similar with a light bar so I can see at night. I had a light bar on top of my rack but didn't get the light I wanted especially with a taller load... Having it up higher would help a lot.

Last company I worked for had some like that and I never played with them either.

I didn't like them, they weighed a little bit more, at least a couple hundred pounds more than the fixed axles, but they needed them for trips into Canada I guess.

I usually keep my spreads closed unless I need them open for weight. I've noticed that leaving them spread makes the wipng action of the tires much worse, and also puts a lot of extra strain on the trailer hardware, too.

I know a lot of drivers leave them spread all the time. I've spent far too much time closing spreads that seem to not have been closed in years.

Sometimes, I *must* close them, since I run into Canada.
