Fancy gap is good times. Last time I went over I was 79,995 running half fuel. I never cared for the grapevine loaded or not.

An old hand that ran with me across the gap my first time over told me, "Just take it slow and you'll be just fine. Always remember that you can run through here a 1000 times, but you'll only do it too fast once".

You should have ran Fancy Gay before the interstate was built. You had to go down US 52. Trucks aren't allowed down that road now. When you cross the big bridge between Galax and I-81, look down at the little road that makes the sharp turn just across the river. That's the old road.

I was over that road many times, not as a driver of course. I worked for a company out of Stoneville NC. C&N EVANS They were the most interesting company I ever worked for. Maybe you're familiar with them?

I just know that the pilot in the middle of it made my day every time I went through.
