I usually do.
However we had had some movies that were AWESOME in our day. Most of the time we laugh it off as hooey and make believe. But once in a blue moon....
Corona virus cases will skyrocket in a week.

Today's tv definitely sucks compared to yesterday.
And it's all the same crap anymore. -
It was 10 days ago when New York announced its first confirmed case of the virus. On Wednesday morning, the National Guard was moving into the suburb of New Rochelle to help put the nation’s first “containment area” in place. Churches, schools and synagogues within a one-square-mile area were closed and people’s movements restricted in an effort to head off further spread of the virus, which has infected at least 170 people in the state.
daf105paccar, TruckChicken and Accidental Trucker Thank this. -
Perspective helps. Yes, this virus is contagious as heck (more than the flu), and it is more serious than the flu, on average. I'd rather not get it, and it would more than likely do in my 91 year old mother. Which, ironically, doesn't seem to bother her much.
Right now, the death rate is 4%. If everyone currently infected makes it, and only 1/4 of those infected are actually tested and counted, that's a 1% mortality rate. If we use a 50% infection rate among the general population, and 325 million people in the US, that's 1.6 million additional funerals...... Mostly old folks and people with serious health issues. Unpleasant, but not enough to save Social Security.
Worldwide, with 8 billion good folks on this ball or joy, that's 40 million additional funerals.
The annual increase in world population is about 80 million, so it wouldn't even keep up with inflation. -
When I picked up the H1n1 my ex isolated me to protect her mom who has like 4 deadly health problems, any of which can and will kill her first. Pick one. Add me to the mix infecting her? She would be just as dead faster. But that has passed and not doing that again. Particularly after I experienced it attacking my brain. That Tamiflu (Viral killer medicine) probably saved my life.
Might as well. Ive seen death 8 times already. The 9th one will be what gets me if I don't see it coming someday. -
Keep a bottle of soursop bitters and some baking soda (high alkalinity) just in case. You’ll be alright, unless your body is SUPER acidic and weakened. And prep with plant based vitamin C, not that isolated absorbic acid!

Well Arkansas bites the bullet. We have a traveler to a infected state come back and ended up in Pine Bluff. Governor says its first case, kit sent to CDC for more testing to confirm. So hes the first here.
USA infections double daily, some are saying we will be out of hospital space in 15 days. UAMS does have 30 rooms specifically for isolation with negative air to each of them. A means of reducing pressure to keep bugs IN that room. And of course the patient gets to have 15liters a hour and cough all they need to.
VA little rock has gone to three doors. ER Night doors, south entrance main and north entrance main. All are manned 24/7 with screening questions to challenge anyone coming there. All VA USA Nursing homes banned visitors. (Vet don;t you get admitted, you will make us all very lonely...) and only hospice vets are admitted, all others excluded.
Many hosptials have begun old dusty panda policies. If they can find them.
Something ironic, using the short form of pandamentic (Spelling) and just say Panda... oh vey, pandas got you, you be sick a while.
Things are quiet for the moment here regarding storms. We expect the sun to heat some more and more will fire in central arkansas. Hopefully you all would be parked by then wait out the winds. -
If I had to guess right now, I'd tell you that I am probably going to end up picking it up. And it will definitely be at a truck stop somewhere. I wear glasses or contacts and I am always messing with them. My lookers tend to slide off my head, so I'm always pushing them back up my nose.
Showers are probably a big spreader. Also the boy in the cooler stocking drinks.
You carry it and spread it for two weeks before symptoms show.
I will try not to get sick. As another poster pointed out already if you get sick you risk mutating it. But I don't see how really I can avoid it.
