Good luck and please remember that trucking is exactly what you make of it. It can be very rewarding and can be very difficult. You will get out of it what you put into it. Roehl is a good company and if your attitude is positive you should do well. It is a tough industry right now because of the economy but we all must ride this economy out no matter our occupation.

Does Roehl make drivers who have experience go thru all the Evolutions?

Roehl sounds to be like most trucking companies. They're trying to make the most profit off of each mile they travel, and the biggest cost is the fuel. So higher MPG = more profit per mile. Its a norm. But if you cant average 2800-3000 miles per week, theres something wrong. I drive for Star Leasing and they insist on 2800-3000, every week.

Roehl has a 'pecking' order for loads .... o/o, trainers, 7/7, 7/4, 7/3, experianced drivers then newbies ...... I ran out of hours during training because the way the trainer used me ..... I have not run out of hours since but I have yet to get the miles either ..... that is why I am looking at being an o/o ......
The Challenger Thanks this. -

I asked to be home for two days and I have been sitting with my bag packed for nine days! I have enjoyed the time, but could have used it much more effectively if I knew it was going to be this long. Instead of just telling me it will be a few days, I keep getting told to call back tomorrow, or your trainer's in such n such a place and will be in Marshfield or Iron Mountain tomorrow or something like that.
I have been getting up at 5 AM for the past four days to make sure I don't miss a phone call. Yesterday was supposed to be THE day. Today I finally talked with my trainer. He is sitting in a truck stop about 20 miles from my house. I will be meeting up with him at 7:30 tomorrow morning.
It will be good to get back on the road. I know it can be tricky to pin down a schedule, but I hope my next home time is handled better. -
