Wow. That really sucks. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lawsuit that was filed against JCT. The one similar to others where the ex-drivers said they weren't being paid correctly. I know in January that lawsuit was approved by the courts to continue going.
Kamkor and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -

A normal drop in fuel surcharge would be understandable based on current pricing. Had our calculation not changed we would have gone from 26 to 24.
They changed the calculation, both moving the peg and increasing fuel mileage.
The average fuel price of the week before with the new calculation is a 7 to 8 cent drop based on how they round.
So if fuel prices had stayed the same we would have gone from 26 cents per mile to 18 cents a mile. It's a pay cut. Plain and simple.
So pretty please tell me how I can recover the revenue loss of $210 to $240 a week through just slowing my truck down and already purchasing rock bottom fuel?reeferflunkie, scottied67, Aamcotrans and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks for the explanation. I understand your frustration. I guess there isn't much you can do about it. Maybe if you're close to the end of the lease you hang on and pay the dollar and move on. Otherwise you can walk away.
Kamkor Thanks this. -
Was it an addendum change to the contract you guys had to agree to, or straight up one sided arbitrary change in the fuel surcharge calculation?
