We haven't had any problems with anyone. The pay is pretty much straight forward. No bonuses. They do pay detention, layover, and breakdown. If you help out local you will get paid by the hour. Regional is miles plus drop pay. Home time isn't a problem. Submit a macro 2 weeks before you want it. (We usually put it in 16 days out and follow up with a phone call 2 days later)
They are in the process of replacing 2016-2017 trucks with 2020 freightliner. They come with fridge and inverter. No driver facing camera. Front facing camera only records and sends to company if there is an accident/ incident. Trucks governed at 65 with smart pass. (70 mph for an hour a day) The new trucks are automatics. They do still have standard and you will test/upgrade in a standard.
Linehaul is pretty much drop and hook. When I help with the americold account it is usually drop and hook too. Usually if I go to a shipper/reciever I am helping out local/ regional so it paid by the hour.
As long as you show them you can and want to work you won't have any problems.Last edited: Mar 19, 2020

I forgot to mention at first you might get crappy runs. I did, but after 4 months it picked up. (I also finished training in the late fall) If you help out local/regional when needed while waiting for loads, they notice and it will show. Most linehaul loads go out on Thursday - Sunday. My first year as a solo rookie I made over 58k.Upinsmoke, YOUNGUN1978 and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
Wow, that's good money as a rookie!
Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
That's just cuz @Jenn72 is a rock star. Just ask her hubby.
Upinsmoke, YOUNGUN1978 and Jenn72 Thank this. -
Last time I was in Lemont they held my trailer hostage for 8 hours! I didnt leave until 1AM, and I had to start my blood plasma run 7AM that morning in Michigan.
Usually they get us in and out, those dedicated trailers cut to the front of the line. But they SLOW that day.Upinsmoke, Jenn72, YOUNGUN1978 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Your loads are slow because no one is donating plasma right now. Linehaul on the other hand is running like crazy. We've only sat long enough to do our 34.Upinsmoke and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
They make us run LTL to reduce deadhead miles. We used to deadhead to all of our runs, but no more.
So far plasma shipments are of normal size in my experience. Maybe a little smaller, but still enough to keep us moving.Upinsmoke and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
Glad to hear your runs haven't slowed down.Upinsmoke, TravR1 and Wasted Thyme Thank this.
