There are always tons of jobs posted on their website. If you have prior military, you are more likely to hear from them. I'm not prior military but I got on in 2006 and was there for eight months. I was flatbed out of Anaconda if there's any former drivers here. I drove in Chief's and Jimbo's crews a lot.
Driving in Iraq.

I've got a uncle over there now and he's rolling in the dough...I could of gone with him...but I didn't want to risk stepping on a land mine and loosing a leg...but things are ok for me now as I just recently got reemployed...
But ye...the money is good...but they are cutting back now do to the withdrawel of troops and all...Last edited: Aug 28, 2009

Yeah, I imagine a lot of the work now is shutting down the smaller bases like this one. We were trying to salvage all the t-walls and barriers from this small base that closed. It is tedious work, and then the driving. I always preferred just running supplies. But it is work, and the money is good. Had a few close calls but nobody was killed on any of the missions I was on. One was shot and a couple injured from IED's, but nothing life-threatening and no lost limbs.

Getting on in Iraq is not easy. Dangerous - Yes but I'd prefer it to New York City. I served in Iraq, our Army escort took good care of us and we completed our missions without mishap. Good money-yes but TIMES ARE CHANGING-BORAK IS PRES NOT NOT BUSH AND I WOULD NOT RISK MUCH TO SUPPORT HIM.

First off i would like to say i can appreciate and thank anyone who would want to go over there and do the same job and make the same money that can be made in the united states ... Except for the tax free thing .... But is that really worth it being away from loved ones for extended periods of time. I read of an driver that wanted to end his life so he went over..... He could of just found an company hauling in an out of hunters point and it could of happened to him much easier....... Just an thought.

Watch this and it will keep you from thinking about taking a job over there.

that video has been overused propaganda. Gives the impression that the escort abandoned the convoy. That incident occurred near Balad and was a bad day indeed for KBR drivers but the Army escort stuck with them, used all their ammo until air support arrived to put matters to an end.

That incident I believe happened in 09/2005
