Heck ours was 10000 miles overdue when we finally got to the yard yesterday for service. They're plugging computer in at the check in bay now to check the top speed. The mechanic said it's cuz some driver got caught with a turned up truck. Takes a real special individual to think he or she would have a snowballs chance in heck of getting away with taking a company truck to the diesel doc an having it monkeyd with.

I hear ya brother. These last few weeks have been killer miles for me. The only time I've taken a punch with miles is due to bad weather or work needing to be done at the shop. About 2 more weeks then I'll be due for a service. Last week was 2300 miles because of that blizzard but I'll make up for it on the next check. Infigure I'll get it whe I can, i feel like it will slow down some once all this craziness settles

Dude, I saw the driver at the yard who did it too! I talked to him. He had been with the company 11 years. We stood there at the safety window the day I got sent for a random. He wa wondering if he still had a job. I asked him how much did he get it turned up to. He told me that he made it wide open because he got frustrated with the difficulty of having to pass people. I'd be surprised if they kept him. As strict as Climate is about fuel consumption, I don't know why he got that idea.

Right, at the end of the day they did pay the equipment. I mean, 65 really ain't that bad. Since I've been here the most miles I've done in a day is 670, but it isn't often I drive more than 600 in a day.

I don't know. I understand that people make mistakes but something like that i don't consider a simple mistake. That was just on purpose knowingly a wrong course of action. I'll even go one step further an let just say because of turning it up if per say it got worse fuel mileage then that could almost be considered taking money from the company. By itself alone it's tampering with company property. I would think that would be like immediate grounds for dismissal. Just my opinion tho.
