So someone needs to invent a device we can put over our rims to prevent booting. And I know just the man for the job! q4uot.jpg

I lease a spot with parking in Florida.
I have the authority to say who parks in the parking lot.
The property owner has no right to boot cars without the permission of the person leasing.
If that was the case they could boot and tow every single car, pickup, motor home ect. that is parked in the parking lot at Walmart.

If Walmarts wanted 18-wheelers they would build truck parking. A few of them do. I worked at a convenience store, not a truck stop. Our pavement was destroyed by 1 or 2 trucks PER WEEK pulling into the property. Then truck drivers started to complain bitterly the owner didn't fix the potholes of sell coffee refills for 19 cents.

If it's not a truck stop it doesn't become one simply because you see another truck there or you once used it as one.

Also, you can read reviews for Walmarts on Trucker Path smartphone app. Whether you can park a truck there is always mentioned. The WM where trucks are booted are also mentioned in the reviews. Just being hungry, or too incompetent to back into a parking space doesn't make WM your truck stop. $20 worth of Doritos won't pay for 1 pothole.

Oh oh my friends let me end this debate right now for you all. Most all walmart parking lots are NOT owned by walmart. These lots are owned by the city and patrolled by the city police. Here is where the corrution takes place. The police have a contract with a local tow truck company and they make each other a crap ton of money. Cost me $1500 and cold steel on my wrist to find out this corruption. Also tow truck drivers like coffee and donuts also. U need to boycot these types of walmarts because the store managers at these locations are involved in the corrution. They will reassure you to park there. Then you do. Then you get towed or booted. Then the manager gets paid. Cheers!

Whatever state agency regulates tow companies would be getting a phone call from me as soon as the open in the morning, next would be a lawsuit. I hope this company has also contacted OOIDA about this, they just did a few stories about this.

The problem is that many states have no regulations when it comes to what tow company’s can charge.
One day I suspect that will change.
