Hazard pay

Why are you using brokers that are “thieves”?
You control who you use. You decide to accept or reject the load at the rate offered.
Why is this concept so hard to understand?

 

Why not get a good rate, detention pay, I don't do docks, have seen drivers posting about paying the lumper more than the load paid

also you are not being forced to drive right now. If you feel it is a hazard, park the truck, and go home. Plenty of other drivers will happily take the load off your hands.

 

These are Rutherford' show utopian platitudes. Nice for the ear but unreal in practice.
You can't control brokers. You can't control the market. It is the market that controls you. You can either choose to be in it or not.

The fact is the rates have no reflection of the potential virus hazard. That's all.

In my opinion, if a broker uses the hazard as a pretense to get more money and they keep it for themselves then they are thieves indeed.

 

I am sure there is plenty but not sure about them being happy to drive for the same money. Many of them kind of have to...if the live from a pay check to pay check.

 

I can only speculate it is the hazard of being deposited in a plastic bag inside the reefer parked by the Brooklyn hospital.
