Look, I agree with you about everything you said, however Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda's are long gone. im completely new in this industry and I was willing to sacrifice alot in order to try and get experience under my belt. Ive seen the writing on the wall days before I started this post.
I also have certain things from years and years ago in my past that hinder my opportunities here in this business, especially with the current state of the economy. Not only hinder my opportunities here, but even in the lovely merry go round, ####### factory/warehouse circuit Ive been working in since I was 17. I spent 10 months unemployed, currently have a home being foreclosed, a wife who walked out in December of 08. Screw the pity party. I enjoy this business and this life. I first applied for truck driver school in 2003 and the man running the show was upfront and honest and told me to get the hell out of his office and try something else because of my record, but he also told me to come back once 10 years had past all the issues regarding my troubles. I did exactly that, and even then he looked at me again and had a long discussion about trying something else. I went to school end of Jan-beginning March 09. And that same man, with 30+years and 2 million miles fought for me with even the shadiest companies' recruiters, and we had no luck. So then I spent from March 09, until July 09 on my own throwing in every app at every company sometimes 5, 6 apps a day, 5, 6 recruiter phone calls per day. Im so grateful that CRST threw me a bone. And I realize that for some of these reasons I have found myself in this position. But i cant let this be the end.

As Im typing post, Lisa calls me back. hey, bus leaves 10am colorado time and its right next door...... Well its 9:45 and Im just going to wait until tomorrow now. I grill her on all kinds of things, and she ensures me the job is not in jeopardy and to contact her Tuesday morning, but I am still left suspicious, because I ask 3 times in phone conversation for other available Co-drivers Phone numbers and she slides me off 3 times telling me I caught her at a bad time.....................??????? You called me lady and we have ourselves a situation, I have at least 4 days of downtime here give me some ####### numbers........ Something is fishy...............

So this is where I am.

in the meantime I have applied with Swift now, I described situation as best I could to recruiter(who wasn't really listening). I told her blah blah 3 months with another Company. I was told "we are only hiring those going through 6 weeks training." I told her, Ill go through your training, she says we are full until middle October, I say so what Im only 29 years old, Ill still be alive in October and she says Ill contact you once your online app is processed................ Fingers crossed....

I have heard little bit about finding either a lease operator or an owner operator and getting on board with them for a bit if I cant find a company to drive for. Does anyone have information about this subject or going about finding someone who would be willing to stick their neck out for someone they dont know or places where I could go to find such information?

    Thanks again for your time...

Also, thank you for pointing out rules BAACK, my email is
lukeswords@att.net, any contacts I can find or relationships within the industry I can develop can start directly through that email.

Read my post where I say, I finally stood up to him, or the posts where I say I could easily put this man in his place. It finally came to that.

I did my laundry in Commerce city, Co. TA off Quebec street, get back on the truck and we get to sterling and have to sit, all my laundry is still all packed away, including my tolietries, buried way at the bottom of the laundry bag. He grabs my laundry bag and asks where my nail clippers are, then he starts going through my bag after being told NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. He pulls some stuff out, and he gets himself into a bad situation with a man who is bigger and stronger. And from that moment, it spirals until Im off the truck. nuff said

if the company doesn't have work for the employee, it is the company's responsibility to sign up the employee for unemployment benefits.

um, I'm pretty sure you should not possess a firearm if you're of that mentality.

What your co- driver is doing to you is a crime !
Get to the next yard and call the police if the company doesn't act asap on your complaint !
There are laws in place for this !
If you feel threatened act !
This kind of behavior escalates !
I always handle these things myself, but thats me . And he might just claim your the trouble !
Do what you feel is best and tell no one !

I was just trying to make a point. My point is how is it that you can be bullied by a trainer, and I have read some other posts where this has happened, make the company aware of it and just because you are new they dont have your back?

Oddly enough, this is the best advice I've seen so far. Call the freakin' cops and report your stuff stolen (assuming he left with some of it) and give them the location/truck number/etc and let them deal with it. When they pick him up, press charges and send him to jail.

This guy is harassing/has harassed you and the company is sitting on the verge of a harassment lawsuit (if you were to take action) by not routing you to the nearest terminal and taking either you or him off the truck. They forced the situation on you by making you feel that your job was in jeopardy if you didn't stay in that seat with him (directly or indirectly).

I'm not a lawyer or anything, so I assume no position of giving legal advice, but it seems that the company would have no leg to stand on in terms of defense since so many things were at stake (DAC included) if you were to remove yourself from the situation.

    *shrug*

I dunno, at this point I would think that they may be genuinely just trying to get you home and it sounds like your DM is doing what she can to get you to where you can look for a team driver.
