I looked at Del Rio, Texas and decided to move to Nevada instead.

My fiance won't do TX, but we're gonna move close to it. I'll be close, at least to DFW Terminals, to be in the "region." I believe. We're gonna do Lawton(Altus), OK. So I'll be able to either go out of OKC, OK, or DFW, TX. @Chinatown has given me some great companies to pick from. But if you're looking for a nice place think about that area, too.

Dyess is warmer or hot rather in summer, they need most of the runway (About two miles give or take) to get out of town when combat loaded. We are down to about 65 out of the original 100 from the 80's where they really scared the USSR bad with the threat of low level below then radar penetration ability as well as shooting stand off missiles into USSR in those days. We intend to keep maybe 15 after 2025 for ship hunting and killing. As long they can net in link 16 and have that tacpod to find their own targets at sea. They are essentially worn out by incessant combat since the gulf war.
They were taken off nuclear strike related to the open skies with Russia at some point. We still have nuclear strike in Dakotas and Louisana but very low expectations for gravity drop. Those probably will not get through. Which is why we are changing over to hypersonic. Launch those against the enemy and nuke them faster than they can get out of the city.
These are very good planes partiuclarly for what we had to evolve them for to help the wars all these years. However 10 years from now we will be flying something else. Just don't know what.gekko1323 Thanks this. -
I graduated HS near Denton. The only parts of Texas I like are the places with almost nobody, which are not good for trucking opportunities. I like the idea of Texas a lot more than any place in TX I've been in.

If I was gonna relocate to anywhere in Texas (and I wish I could, I’m not loving the DFW suburbs), I’d be looking at one of the little towns along US 281 in the hill country. Not terribly far from the I-35 corridor, but far enough to be really nice.

I was in El Paso in the late 80’s for a couple yrs when I was in the Army. El Paso was nothing special I guess and I hear it’s gone downhill from the drugs and stuff.
I really liked New Mexico tho. Around the Alamogordo area. To me, it was a nice area and there were some pretty cool things to do around there. Hot air balloon festival, white sands, Carlsbad caverns, Roswell are all within a days drive.
I’ve thought about going down that way when I retire. Of course I live in Northern Minnesota so any place is better. Lol. It’s April 2nd and it’s gonna snow tonight.G13Tomcat, gekko1323, tarmadilo and 1 other person Thank this. -
Alpine - went there on vacation in 1984, went back in 2004. Its remote and not too many people. I liked it.
