The loads I did went to like Lowe's or Home Depot. So the store employees were not interested in helping. I think we got like $50 per stop.for tailgating. But the problem was they would have go find the forklift and pallets. Then you arms would get all cut up from handling all the plants and trees. Even if you had gloves on. I hated those loads, you could only get 2 maybe 3 stops off per day. If you have the no touch loads those were ok. Because they would have 5- 6 people to unload the trailer.

After my first nursery load it quickly became my last.
Spent a whole day getting the trailer back to my standards, which would be spotless. A broom, a leaf blower, a pressure washer, a scrub brush, a squeegee, a fan, and a nice May day got it back to shape. Photos are after the nursery load, and after the cleanup.Big_D409, truckdriver31, 3ARTransport and 6 others Thank this. -

Also any smell you need to get rid of. Big can of coffee grounds prinkled around the trailer. Takes care of those smells. Used to do that in a reefer and van.
Even take out the nasty rotten smell of cow hides in a reefer in July. Just took 3 big cans over a weekend.truckdriver31, TheLoadOut and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -

This is what our trailer looked like after unloaded. It was a mess. Driver did a good job of sweeping it out. In case anyone is wondering i did pay the driver to clean it out. Hellva guy..

This is how I prefer to haul nursery loads. With that being said, I bought a reefer to haul for a couple of customers who ship container stock in the summer.

Everyone complaining about nursery loads did them too cheap. Figure 3 deliveries per day on your rate. Figure your cost and time to get cleaned out for the next load.
I've had nursery loads to Menards offered at over $7k for only 1100 miles. Don't haul them cheap.Speed_Drums and magoo68 Thank this.
