Remember your wedding vows taken before God. The assumption is that the traditional vows were given. To honor and cherish one another (husband and wife for those who have convinently forgotten) and to forsake all others. In other words in you honor and initegrity you vowed to stay faithful to your spouse. I find it very sad and disgusting that many have given you impression that it will not "harm" anyone with what you do. Ask them (if they will give you the truth) if committing adultry will not affect their families. Ask them if their children understand why mommy or daddy split up because of the spouses betrayal. The people that have tried to "give you permission" to commit sin have been as much harmed as if they themselves committed adultry. They probably have and as a result want you to sin also so they can feel better about it themselves. It never fails to sadden me that they will use the excuse that God will not mind. The Bible is the Word of God and it has all ready presented what God will or will not "mind", but they will not or have not read it because to do so will reprove them. It is even sadder that there are those that have read it and still gleefully commit sin. This being said you will read such vile veminance against what I have written that it will shock you (and it should). As a last statement I am a Christian and admit I am not sin free. I won't be untill I am called home to Christ and am not in this "World" anymore. God doesn't require you to be sin free to enter Heaven. The requirement is that you confess your sins and believe that Christ paid for your sins on the cross. Forgiveness and salvation is simple and that is what people find hard to believe.

May God bless. He has all ready shown us mercy, all we have to do is accept it.

I don't recall anyone talking about committing adultery in this thread before you just brought it up. It was about 2 consenting unattached adults meeting and then keeping each other company. I grew up with that cram religion down your throat mentality pushed on me my whole life and it did nothing but drive me as far away from it as possible. I have a relationship with god but it's between me and him. If you want to help somebody don't go judging them maybe you should think before you go cramming stuff down people's throats and remember that we were all born sinners and forgiven by the grace. Judge not lest ye be judged, and let them without blemish cast the first stone.

A little slap & tickle is good for ya. If it weren't several of us would be dead now. Enjoy it, boast about it, exaggerate about it, learn from it, make it the basis for another round it, but for heaven's sake DO IT!!

There are, of course, a few rules:

Never with a married person not married to you.
    Never out of spite.
    Never with reluctance.
    Never with fear.
    Never without a little caution.

Does that make you a little naughty? Dunno. Naughty is fun sometimes too. Does that make you dirty? No. Dirty girls don't wonder about it.
Your all grown up, have a little joy in your life.

The euphamism "Keeping each other company" can be bandied all about as mush as anyone likes it is still adultry. Adultry is still sex between two people that are not married to one another. And the post targeted the sin not the sinner. The sin and the sinner are on such and intimate level I can see why attacking the sin is thought of as attacking the sinner. The term "a hit dog hollers" comes to mind. God hits the sin and the sinner hollers. I was accurate with the vile attack statement. And yes you judge the sin not the sinner. Grace is not complete without confessing that we each and all are sinners and accepting Christ as our saviour. I have thought well on it and I stand by each and every word written. I do not hide myself behind the usernames here. Everyone has a relationship with God. Everyone. Whether it be as Father to son, or as Judge to the judged. Everyone will answer to God.

There are non so blind as those who will not see nor those as deaf as those who will not hear.

OK, I'll bite. I thank my kind of God, the one that loves me no matter what, even if I don't behave as I maybe should at times.

Not the one, that the holier than thou crowd prays to. The one, that unless I believe exactly the same as they do, says I will go to hell. You can have your belief, but I am entitled to mine. So, I thank my kind of God that my life is not ruled by those out there who are morally superior to me (or so they say) and control my fun and my pleasure.

    My opinion still stands.

BTW, I am in a committed relationship, I am not actually hooking up anywhere with anyone. But I guess that is wrong too, since I am not married. At least in someones book.

And, this is not meant to offend any beliefs of you on this board, as I said, but truly an expression of what I believe and think.

Sounds as if some have purchase the god of their choice, the one that stays in a box and only removed when trouble shows ? then to be posed to suit the needs of the keeper when the lips run'th over.

By their own admission they clearly do not Worship the God of the Heavens but rather the Earth.:biggrin_25513:

someone has a name, and my name is SABINE. You are entitled to you belief, your religion, just as I am to mine. If I want to worship THOR, it is my choice. Or Zeus, or Buddha, or whoever. That doesn't make you right and me wrong.

I can not even put into words how much I despise the holier than thou, and I am better than you are because I am the better Christian, than you are crowd.

You may not like what I do, or anyone else for that matter, but last time I checked, it was not up to you to judge me or anyone else.

I realize you have already paid for your plot in heaven. And since you are without sin, you are clearly entitled to throw the first stone.

Have at it. The way I see it, self righteousness has never gotten you into heaven and does not make you a good Christian. I am a big girl, I can handle all the rocks thrown at me, and in the end I will still stand there, and stand up for what I believe is right.

This thread has seemed to move into a religious direction. Religion is a regionally based belief. If you were born in Iraq, would you be a Baptist? Probably not. Freedom of religion is one of our rights in the first amendment, but in today's diverse society if you start preaching you will most likely offend someone that believes something different. Most people interpret or modify their specific religion to suit themselves. They use or talk about what benefits them and leave out or ignore what they wish. This generally makes most people hypocritical, especially in regards to sex. I'm glad I've had the opportunity to visit many other countries/cultures and actually see the many different beliefs out there... I have my own opinions about religion, but will keep them to myself...

Back to the original post... I see nothing wrong with what you described... It's a mutual decision by two consenting adults. It happens somewhere everyday... (If you are lucky:))

I'm also going to chime in against the people that think if you look at a woman naked you are going to catch an STD. Don't believe everything you hear. Do your own research and seek out different sources of information.

For example, one study (obviously trying to persuade American men NOT to travel to the Land of Smiles, LOS or Thailand) says, "80% of prostitutes in Thailand are HIV+..." That seems pretty bad... Then research how this information was attained... They travel to a rural brothel in northern Thailand used by Thai males (who normally don't use condoms) and this place is NOT visited by tourists. They test 10 women. 8 out of the 10 are HIV+. There is your 80%... Go to the tourist areas and test 100 women prostitutes and it's very possible not 1 would be HIV+. Granted are other possibilities such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, hepititis, HPV, genital warts, etc. Always be careful, inspect first and be sure you use latex everytime, all of the time...

I know many guys (including myself) that have lived overseas for years and been with literally hundreds/thousands of women. They are STD free. How is that possible? You do hear about STD's and it's still a concern, but it's not like certain organizations and the media make it out to be... One will occassionally hear about someone catching a dose of chlamydia or gonorrhea... These are bacterial and much easier to contract that a viral, such as HIV... Luckily both of these can be cured up in a day or two with proper antibiotics... For the guys that live in certain countries, back in the 80's, this used to be like 'catching a cold'... The worst part about it was embarrassment and the fact that you couldn't drink while you were taking the antibiotics. Now days, to catch anything would suggest you weren't playing safe to begin with and that is frowned upon in most circles...

What is the difference between me having sex with a prostitute that I've known for 1 hour and a girl that I met one hour ago? I have no prior knowledge of either one... If I meet a girl at a bar, we have a few drinks and end up naked one hour later... How much prior knowledge could I possibly have about this girl? Chances are this isn't the first time she has done this... I hope you see my point...

Generally speaking, if you treat a woman like she has something, you don't catch anything. If you treat a woman like she doesn't, you do. I caught one thing in my entire life, chlamydia, and it wasn't from a prostitute. It was from a 'good girl', single mother, in the military... You just never know...

To conclude, I will say that there are many different opinions and then there are facts. Most of the population listen to the news and believe what they are told. Remember that the media always has an agenda. Do your own research and form your opinions based on facts. Remember that 49% of the population is more stupid than the average person...

Try to do more of whatever makes you smile and live your life to the fullest. We are only here for a limited amount of time... Be safe.

What most people believe is for their convenience and not always what is right. God gave us the 10 commandments. There are no amendments to those. He did not come back later and attache riders to the commandments modifying them in any way. We are the ones that attach amendments that attempt to justify our actions.

Yes Jesus stopped the crowd from stoning the prostitute. He forgave the prostitute her sin of adultry. He also told her to GO AND SIN NO MORE.

Actually Jesus CAN claim the holier than thou title. He is the only one that can.

No matter how many ribbons and pearls a pig is dressed up with it still is a pig. You can't dress up sin and change it to something else. It is and always will be a sin.

A policeman (or anyone else for that matter) can tell someone it is against the law to assault someone and get called a pig or worse. Are they holier than the person they informed of the law?

If your mother told you it isn't right to steal that candy bar is she holier than thou?

if Satan tells someone to not read the Bible or worship God does that make him holier than thou?

I realize with a heavy heart that there will be people that have hardened their hearts to anything good or decent.

I have read other posts that said sex belongs within marriage. No flames there! But then again God or Jesus was not mentioned. Fascinating the response one gets if God or Jesus is mentioned.

My prayers are with you and for you.
