I had a dream i was a fisherman . But i had no fishing pole. Only used my bare hands and i had xray vision into the water to see the fish . The only problem is all the fish were poisenous and had sharp needles on their skin. But for some reason i kept fishing after my hands was dripping with blood and i was dying from the poisen.... Well all i could say its a good thing i became a truck driver and not a fisherman

I don't do dreams very much. Took years for trucking dreams to go bye bye. Or night night rather.

One common one is shes run away, gone loco downgrade. There is a school bus at the bottom picking up kids in coaltown USA with a flashing stop light at the bottom patrolled by a lawman. Essentially all the things that are a problem.

Brakes are not there, air is long gone, jakes are blown up, cargo in trailer is spilling into the cab and getting in the way, what with all these kids soap bubble containers making a mess everywhere.

And the situation degenerates or decomposes from there.

Fortunately for me wife wakes me up trying to get up the wall in our bedroom to not drown in the soap liquid filling the cab while the qualcomm from dispatch tells me to stop being a crybaby and get out of that bubble bath. Followed by motivational messaging stating that they recieved the braking failure information and I am to fix the problem with more of that bubble bath and soap.

    So stupid.

I should go all the way back to the old movie called "The Shining" for proper nightmares. Or even the "Towering Inferno" The sky scraper that will burn us all up and no one gets to get out. Etc. Or even further back to the monster under the bed or something.

The only dreams I have lately. Kinda half fast wake up in middle of night. Start thinking... "Geesh! They made the bed in this truck really nice and big! The condo on this is really huge! Even got a ceiling fan! What they heck? That's a huge window? Which darn truck am I in?" .... then I wake up.

Extra weight of the Cummins is not that much..... 2964 v.s. 2880 only 80 pounds for the engine from these places
    ISX15 (EPA 2010) | Cummins Inc.
The Detroit™ DD15® Diesel Engine - Demand Detroit | Freightliner Trucks

Bobtail weight for my 2011 plastic bubble Pete 387 with ISX was about 19,300 full tanks with chains half a dozen load bars, a couple of load locks, and about 50 straps, plus truck spares and supplies and human supplies.

Was pushing 35K empty with the LS trailer.

Empty weights with my trailer (GD SSL with Aluminum floor and 8 aluminum rims) was just over 33k.

You got a double frame or some such on the beast @Judge?

    It’s a heavy Pete 587, 13200 front axle 46k rear weight rating.
13 speed, was a double bunk condo, I took the top bunk out dropping a little over 400 lbs for everything there.
75” bunk on 250” wheelbase in a setback.
I have driven 379s that out turn this thing.
I got it almost 3 years ago with little over 600k miles and had an inframe for $32k out the door.
Got 890k on it now, only thing I had to do to engine was get the main seal replaced when it went to slinging oil like an old Detroit.
Minus the APU it’s still be super heavy, with minimum fuel, it’s posted weight is 18,080

I did put the Herd bumper on ‘see attached photo.’

Supposed to weigh 380, but doing it by yourself makes it feel like 600, it’s doable, but I would recommend having a helper.

Well I worked on the tracor some today. Mains are on and together. 2 of the three rods are bolted on. The joys of having a freind come over and help? He pushed one of the pistons out of the cylinder and now I need the ring compressor to set it back in. I do have a dingle berry hone to break the glaze of the cylinder. Just extra work that I didnt need to do. Tho it was good that I took it back apart. I messed up on the rope seal and that would have leaked horribly.

It is just my luck to park next to the chain smoker on both sides. Open windows for 2 secs to get fresh air and the great smell of cigarettes fill the cab. I love truckin
