“To the weak, I became weak that I might win the weak...”
To the unreasonable, become unreasonable and they will try to reason with you. Thus you win the unreasonable.
Or, you can just ignore fearmonger threads

Sunday morning gentlemen! I'm off to do some Tacoma shopping and do some food prep for the week, hope y'all have a good one!

In fairness I have never built a 11.1l. I have changed bull gear and alot of stock cams replaced. Never tried hot rodding one. I pointed him to the right guys however. My 12.7l I try my hardest not to let rpm dip under 1500 ever loaded. I shoot to cruise at 1600. However mine all comes in a little late because of aftermarket hair dryer. Under 1500 you best grab a gear if your loaded. Right now set for 2350 rated RPM. Not afraid to spin it to that. But seldomly do. I'm more afraid under 1500rpm. However max horse power is measured at rated RPM. -
Some people will not open their eyes, any view that doesn't look like a mud pit is unacceptable, even offensive. They would rather eat you alive, than be shown how they could eat like king's.
They live in fear, which makes them hate. There is no love in them, so there is no life. Without life, death becomes a monster to be feared. -
DEPEND ON US!
Ever notice how the news media, including the weather, always say this? Straight up mind control. “Sit at home and wait for a check” is straight up socialism. Free money! There’s no such thing, remember? Everyone knows that, right? Right? So, why are sitting at home waiting for free money? If you need money, you’d better get your arse up and go to work.
“But Six, what about the corona virus?”
Wash your hands and take precautions, DUH. While you are at it, you probably want to be cautious of anyone who is hiding in a hole waiting for money. When SHTF, that’s who will prove to be your enemy. -
It is socialism, so is bailing out big companies. But no one wants to talk about that. They are a necessity. They provide jobs. Pffft let them fail. It's part of being in business. You take risks. Without risk there is no reward.
I've been home 4 weeks. My choice, nothing has enticed me to go to work currently. But I ain't sitting in a closet waiting for tax money that I have paid already. Let's face it 1200 bucks dont go far. -
Do you think your fuel economy suffers cruising at 1600, rather than say 1450?
how about oil consumption? Ever experimented with prolonged periods (oil interval change) of higher RPMs vs an interval of lower RPMs?
.......I'm running the stock garrett, so our two driving techniques may not be relatable?1951 ford, PoleCrusher, cke and 5 others Thank this. -
We are in slightly different boats.. With my 1800rpm max, 9 speed, no splitter, & fleet spec 350hp, (that I think is running 320hp cause the cruise don't work) I almost have to stomp the pedal trough the floor & keep ol Buck wound out in the hills to top them the same day I started..
I do need to ease up the rest of the day, & I will. The cool winter temps, & my girl sick, & staying home has let me run a bit too free for a few months LoL..I don't trust the 17.5" rubber on the wagon much over 65mph in the hot summer months, so I'll be backing off to abouts there..
Now when I purchased ole Buck in Dec '17 I tried to find a fld120 owners manual & came up with this..
#3 Says series 60 can be operated 80-90% of rated engine speed. I see that as 1680-1890rpm for 2100 engines..
Then they say 1800 engines are the exception, & can run at rated speed yet still provide economy.. I run light weight, but am prof of this. My worst IFTA quarter has been 7.76 & best of 9.01mpg..
I'm also beginning to understand there is a difference between letting her turn lots of revs because that's the way she's set up to run down the boulevard.. (Buck is ~1610 @65mph)
Verses forcing her turn lots of revs cause I refuse to take my foot out of it & am just acting like a dick.. LoLWe all grow up sometime, I guess some of us just a tad later..
Now on the other hand I don't cite this as gospel. Look at #5..
It says don't be afraid to lug down to max torque. Which would be about 1200rpm, & all of us series 60 owners seem to agree we dang sure aren't pulling them below 1400..
1951 ford, PoleCrusher, cke and 2 others Thank this. -
Glad you found/posted that.!
