Gear ratios numerically high is a slow gear. Gear ratios numerically low are a high gear.

Low number is faster, equal less torque
High number is slower, equal higher torque.

Id imagine I'd get better at 510/1850 with the gearing I've got but EPA 13 MX13s are only 455 capable

Is a 2.70 which is numerically low not considered a high rear end?

Ran with a guy for two weeks with a 500 paccar in a new daycab pete and a east dump. What a sorry pile of sheet that was. It didnt get out of it's own way. You could time him with a sun dial.

No. It’s probably got long legs but not much on hills I’d imagine.

    Yes.

Just remember when I say fast, that is different than quick. Old drag racing argument of Fast Vs. Quick.

Hmmm. I have no problem getting this one up and moving now that it's not being choked by some college degreed engineers idea of how to make better fuel mileage even though he's got no real world experience.
