The next shops I will go, will talk with the painters and get their opinions on how they will get rid of the rust and how they will treat the metal and prepare it for the painting and all the steps they take... I want to know how they will do it before I choose who will work on my car.
I don't think it's an easy job and there's a lot involved... A very good prep job is essential for a successful painting job... I am no expert... I intend to work on a small section inside the gate of the vehicle to see if I can get rid of that rust and prime it... The rest of the vehicle has to be taken care off by a real good professional who knows how to do it right.
There are no dents, no dings, no holes, no cuts no nothing.... the vehicle is all original... Guys congratulate me about it all the time... some even asked me if I wanted to sell it.... Even rusted the way it's... "poor thing"... looks like a white and brown cow... But it's all so "straight"...

Got to 180 a few years ago and thought that was a little bit light. Settled out near there give or take 10. I think if i went down below 180 the body will not do well for a variety of reasons. I don't worry about it too much. Doctors have chopped on it so much. Snip, cut, saw, sew, burn, cauterize etc. Kind of like a old car thats been repaired with a prayer and pallet banding.650cat425, WesternPlains and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -

I used to have that issue after about oh... 2000 miles straight through. Lots of water on a rag and bed. I think somehow the eyes have had enough and they get to hurting.
Incidentially the eyes contain the absolute maximum of nerves so that they can protect themselves against anything that could hurt them by blinking etc. It happens to be the most painful anywhere on the body. The eye surgeon injected argon gas into the one ball to get the retinas put into place and eliminate debris and that took me right out of the knockout. They had to deliver a round two and continue. They were very surprised i came online from under that knockout medicine. It really hurt.
NExt time they will plan on paralyzing you dont come up from that until they counter that medicine.Rocks, 650cat425, WesternPlains and 1 other person Thank this.
