Tie a spare somewhere outside your truck.

Keep a spare in something you ALWAYS have when leaving your truck, such as your wallet or cell phone case.

Best thing to do it get into the habit of NEVER using the inside button to lock your door when exiting your truck. ONLY use the key to lock the door after getting out of the truck. Then you'll never accidentally lock yourself out because you use the key to lock the door.

    In my pocket.

I always carry two full sets of keys, one is just truck keys and personal vehicle keys, and the other is my full set of all my keys. The small set is what I hand off for shop service, unlock the load lock rack, unlock the cargo lock, or use to unlock the truck when I lock myself out.

Tie, that’s what I should’ve done. I used one of those magnets and it appears the freight shaker didn’t like it.

    1. Hide it with a trusted friend or family member who lives nearby.
    2. Hide it in a magnetic lock box that can be attached to the underside of your vehicle.
    3. Hide it in a fake rock or other inconspicuous object in your yard or garden.
    4. Place it in a secure and hidden location at your workplace or other frequent destination.
    5. Consider installing a keypad entry system or other keyless entry option as a backup.

Assuming your answer is geared more towards the home not the truck.

    I don't lock my doors.
Instead we have a bunch of trained German Shepards only one of them will show himself and bark to warn you, ward you off. How the others were trained will be a mystery until your on your way to heaven!

I fix it to the truck in an out of the way place and cover it in 5th wheel grease to conceal it. If anyone finds it, they'll be marked "red handed" (grease not blood... I'll be the one red handed if they're found)
