What if it Snows?

Knew folks that had them. I liked the floor plans but the construction was sub par for the 50's and 60's.

Typically had no insulation, Single pane glass, and nearly flat roof. Good summer homes but the heating bill would eat you alive even in the SF Bay area.

 

Hm, it was a house of glass. Inside that is.

Most of the time they relied on the basement the temperature was relatively constant. Upstair was more of a showboat to impress their friends.

 

The clock should also have a tail like penduluum.

 

Whats your experience with any kind of motorcycles or dirt bikes?

 

What basement? Cement slab floors with radiant heat that used galvanized pipes and typically failed about the 25 to 30 year time frame.

 

I’m a total newb, planning on getting my motorcycle safety class and endorsement added during the summer.

 

That I cannot tell you. I was still a boy. I knew nothing about those problems.

If they had that then they had the money to replace it. It was a rich greek family. More money than brains. But never mind that. Ive wondered how one of their children made out sometimes after such a injury.

 

I would not be concerned with buying until you complete the course.

Just don't worry about the prettiest bike cause you will most like dump it in the parking lot a couple of time. Buy something for the riding season then trade up after you get experience.

I would guide you toward the 600 to 800 cc Japanese cruisers.
As for Harley? If you fit on one a Sportster may be a viable option. @ 6' 2" I feel like a gorilla on a minibike on them though. I would be comfortable saying a stock Dyna or Road would also work.

There used to be a old Triumph. And similar bikes from Japan in that class.

For road bikes they are pretty nifty. You don't have to over think them that much. However they probably are a little bit... itty bitty by today's standards.
