reality is no matter what speed limit is "set." Idiots will still speed and drive like idiots. There are already laws/rules/limits/equipment in place to save lives on the road. People disobey them, or like has been seen on here. Try to even remove the safety equipment. It's kind of like gun violence, and no I don't want to get in that debate. But even when you outlaw guns. There are still gun deaths. Because criminals don't obey the law. Same with driving on the highway. Might say it is 65 MPH limit, but you still have joe 4 wheeler flying past at 90+ MPH. Or that 4 wheeler who cuts in front of the rig on the on ramp....etc.

Same goes for the virus. We can open up and say practice these rules. But idiots are gonna say screw it. So bam, cases of infected will go right back up and people that shouldn't have died will die.

 

You know half these douche bags didn’t have jobs or health insurance before the pandemic . But now by shutting down the economy we have aggrieved them .

 

We should also wrap ourselves, our vehicles, our homes, and our pets in 3 layers of bubble wrap. Followed by a complete set of MOP gear, then a hazmat suit on top. After all, if we can save even just one life, isn't it worth just a little inconvenience.

So, in such a case, you can use various other tools to make a point, or case. Some tools that can be used, are jokes, stories, analogies, or illustrations.

In the case of this thread, the entire premise is absurd, and sometimes absurdity is the best way to illustrate the absurd.

 

actually you are incorrect. The choice of how many live or die is each and everyone of our hands daily. On the road when we drive, and in the stores where we shop. If you drive like you are supposed to and avoid speeding and other unsafe driving practices. Baring the idiot who doesn't do the same or the random act of God. You'll have saved many lives. Do the opposite you'll be the cause of deaths. Same in the stores. Keep your distance and other recommended practices you'll most likely not cause someone's death. Do the opposite and you'll be the one responsible for people's deaths.

 

So you stay shut down and hiding under your bed breathing through yesterday's underwear, nobody's stopping you. Let me guess, you think the economy should stay shut down because you haven't been affected yet.
