my buddey nabbed a Metallica vinyl in Walmart yesterday.... had to go checkout the collection they had....

Everything from Pink Floyd to Iron Maiden. Was surprised.

 

When I set up the trucking company I got in the car and went and talked to the people I wanted to run their product.... Even Ivan that nobody got along with....I never ever had a problem with him. Ran for everyone I talked to. All direct freight

Didn't run for a broker till three years ago....he's in his '70's and still drives.

Kid calls me today....Robinson wants to know when you load and unload...he done told them we ain't running your app. Most our stuff in still direct.... I let him deal with the stupid stuff. Tell me when and where and it'll be there....

I'm 50/50 direct and broker. There are some decent brokers/ some decent direct. Then there's brokers and direct that ain't worth my time. Pay me once 24 hours after agreed time and see which list you end up on.

Only one time I had to tell a Chicago broker, your 276 miles from my driveway how about I meet you at the end of the day and discuss this in person.

I figure if you set a .45 on the desk it will help show your serious.

 

Amid all the covid and other messed up stuff it was nice to see this tonight getting home.

 

Only one I've had a problem with lately was some broker house out of Atlanta.... I was getting unloaded with my previous load and called in for the load thru them....."we can't DISPATCH you till you unloaded".....Guess what 'itch my name is on the side of this truck and you don't dispatch me.

The company that had that load we were set up with before I got there to load.....I don't deal well with arrogant people.....I'm to old for that.

 

Question:

Did Peterbilt ever build a model similar to Kenworth's C500? Something built for extreme heavy haul and with a steel butterfly type hood?
