One other thing that was the norm “back in the day”,, The driver not only represented the company and owner but also the customer.
A thing called PRIDE. Something that is lacking today.

I had a 8 track in the first binder I drove.
Later we had cassette decks and thought I had it made.
No satellite radio, ipods, streaming, pandora or even CDs.
But we did have clear channel AM radio and the CB.
And we had a few high power FM stations which were awesome.
Daytime radio sucked unless you were near a city for FM or in the country where you could listen to ag reports or hog prices...lol
C&W and truck songs were popular back then.

AM radio "all night truckers" show.
Those AM stations all across the country, all playing the same show.
Almost always in range, even if it was a little staticky. -

The first Emeryville I was in had a Four track and it was chrome ,anybody remember those and of course listening to KOMA Oklahoma City all night long.
