I don’t mean to be nosy, but where are they getting stuck at? They may have to jughandle a bunch of farm roads. Or put the blades on a barge and float them up the Rio Grande to some place like Del Rio.

Heading out around 10 tonight gonna camp out close to exit 8 off pike at one of the service areas. 7:15 apt and hustle back to my regular $4.00+ a mile. Thank God this steady came back.

Not this 750 on 345 mi bs that's in the box now.

That one guy in the other thread doesn't understand we need those rates in the local game

the first group originally got stuck up by Austin - then pressed on when Texas pulled the rest of the permits for a bad route survey. But OK wouldn’t issue an entry on 35 - where the group ended up their Texas permit.

It is a giant cluster - these 72/74m blades are not real friendly for a lot of reasons. The least of which is the tip height for the guys running the 4 beam trailers is only about 7’ - so they can’t go over walls and signs that you can when you have 13 or 14’. So when you have 70+’ of overhang and you are 15’ 6” tall the options get slimmed down.

but you know wind, things are always screwed up and it takes forever to resolve.

Left the Love's in Midland this morning and finally made it to the Arizona State line. I didn't read my New Mexico Permit very well when I got it on Friday at 4:45pm. I just glanced over it and thought they had me going across I-10 all of the way but nooooo. I'm 11' 7" wide with this scraper and had to exit in Deming, NM on Highway - 11 southbound, follow that to Highway - 9 westbound, follow that to Highway - 80 northbound to get back to I-10. I haven't ever been OverSize in New Mexico and the OS/OW route sucks. NM - 80 is not a good road. It's brutal rough with dips everywhere. I can't cross into Arizona until tomorrow morning because Arizona doesn't allow OS/OW to operate on the weekends. I'm spent. Gonna get some groceries in me and shut the curtains and watch a movie.

Austin...they went farther than I thought. Would you believe that when I started, we were pulling 90ft double blades? Now, they have 70 ft on the overhangs alone. I wonder how big they’re going to make them before they’re too big for the road.

If I’m not mistaken, 9 is the overheight route. Desolate road. I picked it up in Santa Teresa and ran it all the way across. There’s nothing out there but goats and border patrol.

BTW, if you haven’t, better read that AZ permit and provision sheet. They may test you on your knowledge.

Well I gave it hell. Still a bunch of unfinished details. Attic entrance needs painted, all the door handles need put back on. A few more doors need painted and or stained, some base board in the laundry room and master bedroom needs installed and so on and so forth. Maybe I can get back to it in the next world wide disaster? 471976B2-C15A-44A1-8A8F-BDD366A910F0.jpeg 93874F5A-CF60-495D-8772-892BC3B1F9AE.jpeg EA46FBA0-D746-482A-8DA0-CE25CB7700D0.jpeg B3A3D667-7A6E-4B8C-A76B-3EF651696EC9.jpeg 4ECFFDC7-B971-4C81-9C3C-10B0A0D01077.jpeg
