Ive got over a year experience with dry vans and I have my hazmat, double/triples and tanker endorsements that most LTL companies require, now Im trying to figure out which is the best LTL company in my neck of the woods. From my understanding, some companies have different pay scales depending on where you live. If anyone in my area can tell me starting pays, top out pays, benefits, OT and how many hours a day/week you work would be helpful. Any info you could give would be much appreciated thanks.
Anyone LTL local P&D in the Toledo Ohio area?

Stay where you’re currently at , LTL took a big hit with this pandemic, they are slow right now. Apply but just be cautious on how they are gonna keep you busy next 3 months if hired.

Dayton Freight is a great company to work for, but I'm skeptical they are really hiring in Toledo. We have a sign up in Indy, but I'm pretty sure there's a hiring freeze because there is at my terminal and most others. We have drivers out on furlough at almost every terminal in the system, so the company will need to have work for them before even thinking about hiring anyone new. They are already considering renewing some of the furloughs which are expiring soon.
It's worth a try to apply and get in the cue though, just in case everything comes back in the summer. But beware: this winter could be rough if the virus hits us hard again in the fall like some experts are suggesting.Texas_hwy_287, Western flyer and McUzi Thank this. -
I'm out of Fremont Ohio area. I just quit R&L after 9 years. Top out after raise is 29.72/hour. No overtime. Not sure how far out of Toledo you live but it was a flat 45 minute one way ride from exit 91 on the Pike. Central is hiring I've been told in Toledo but they are at the lower end of LTL spectrum generally
