@otherhalftw May want to look at getting something like this. This should help keep your energy up, give you the calories your body is going to need and you should be able keep it down with no problems.

    Extreme Mass - 6 lb

Did you go with a port? Are they using a saline for the carrier?

And then I visited a body shop that I knew from years ago.... they moved but I found them... the owner, an older gentleman, a former marine who fought in the Vietnam... a war survivor.... Said he was shot right here, in this town, 3 years ago... said it was road rage.... o_O
Showed me his arm... Bullet entered his right arm and abdomen causing lots of damages... but he was able to control his vehicle and write down the license plate of the other vehicle... said it was another old man with fiery eyes... Said a 9 yr old kid ran to his rescue while he was bleeding in his vehicle... he told the kid to call 911 and give them the number he wrote on the palm of his hand... The shooter was caught.... And he almost died in the hospital... He said he thought he had only enough friends to count in one hand but at the hospital, 300 people showed up to see him and ask if he needed anything.... He was speechless... He is a very good man... I am glad I was able to find him again.... will take my new vehicle there tomorrow for some minor electric repair....

Regular IV between wrist and elbow, and yes Saline carrier. Going to take about a week or so to find out what (if any) foods I can't tolerate. Didn't get that "metal taste" in my mouth so they are thinking that is a good thing.
@Rocks will appreciate this....on the way home stopped by the store got cantelope, fresh strawberries, apples, peaches, pears, gingerale (helps offset nausea), ready for tomorrows shish-ka-bob BBQ , Kielbasa, sweet onions, peppers (red green and yellow) pineapple, peach, and apple...over the grill with a mild ginger sauce.

Yes sir! I found his house in the middle of the woods.... at the end of a narrow dirt road....
But only his wife was there... and she couldn't remember... couldn't answer all my questions... I left a small letter that I had prepared with a list of questions and my contact info... Hopefully her husband will be able to remember and send me an email. She said they had a book with all the maintenance service done.... But they left the book in the car when they sold it to the first dealer... who traded with another and another... The one who sold me the vehicle said they don't have any information....
I may go to the first dealer... but it would be a miracle if they had any info...
I was told that if the transmission was flushed after 60,000 miles, it should be done again after another 60,000 miles... But if it wasn't ever done, it should be left alone and just monitor the fluid and refill...

Do not let them cut the saline back. If you get any feeling of a burning sensation have the saline boosted. Yes it will take a bit longer because of that. Have a number of friends that are long term, they all have said that. One of the big things to watch is dehydration.

Yes Mr. @otherhalftw ... you do well eating healthy... it may take time for you to start experiencing the effects of the treatment.... I know people who went thru it and didn't feel much on the first week.... but by the end of it... But each person is different.... You rest when you need and eat what you can.... time will take care of it... Stay as strong and as rested as you can...

While we were getting the IV set up, the nurses (charge RN and my LVN for today) almost over-emphasized the burning sensation and the dehydration situation. Very happy with UC Davis Oncology/Med center here in Sacramento. Across the street is a Shriners Childrens Hosp, was told to expect a visit at my next treatment from one of the kids going through cancer treatment. Absolutely great community, beginning to understand the PINK RIBBON Society.
