Nearly 25 years ago in my teen years, I worked there. They use frozen patties, throw them onto a clamshell grill that cooks though in like 2 minutes. Only difference between the quarter pounders and any other burgers was a mysterious seasoning. Everything else was just clam shelled.

Ive noticed that burgers taste quite different depending on where in the country you get them... Probably comes down to where the beef were raise and slaughtered.
