I have to say, I thought I was the only O/O with debt. I thought everyone had their houses paid off. Bought Trucks and Trailers with cash, and had lots of reserves set aside for the Truck.Lol. I don’t hear much of that talk lately. I’m so broke, it ain’t funny. But surprisingly, I’m not anxious, or very worried. Ain’t got no time for that. Seriously I hope all works out well for Myself, and all of you Guys.I appreciate the info, I get from everyone. Kinda gives me hope for our Industry. Good Luck everyone. If anyone deserves a break it’s the ones that work as hard as we do. That’s a fact Jack.

The $84,900 hit my account this morning.

After sleeping on it for a few days, I decided to send it ALL back, which I immediately did through www.pay.gov I'm out the $100 processing fee though.

A mix of reasons, mostly personal though. I ultimately decided that I didn't want to leave my wife of 41 years holding the bag for a big loan in the event of my sudden demise ;-) In retrospect, I think if I were in my 30's instead of my 60's, it would be a different story.

It did look awfully tempting sitting in my bank account this morning though ;-)

That’s understandable. It’s very tempting.I resolved to run my Truck, from revenue earned only, after the debacle I got into 12 yrs ago. Reasoning if the Truck can’t support itself, it’s not worth having. I didn’t have a choice, since credit was ruined. Now I’m good again. It’s so easy to justify a little here and there. Pretty soon it’s all intertwined, and can’t be controlled.

Very well said. Kind of like the post above, the guy is in disbelief that Scooter sent the money back.

Lots and lots of folks dont have the willpower to say no to a large sum of money, ultimately IMO it's going to end up hurting more folks than it will help.

That money will start to be used for other things besides the business and folks will just be burying themselves in debt.

I agree, it takes discipline and not all that many people have that.
