Brick Loads

@FoolsErrand has all the cool gizmos for those type of loads

 

A cheap one that. I could think of is cut a milk crate right down the middle.. Makes 2 v boards for each crate... alot of guys u see that haul brick loads for a living use fencing or metal v board

 

I used to drive for a particular company that hauled brick pretty regularly. We did it on the cheap, orange snow fence wrapped all the way around, and simple cardboard edge protectors. Seemed to work just fine.

 

Ill post some of my experiences later when i have more time.. I tried a bunch of stuff and the final method before i left the company was homemade wire screens from pallet racking. I loved them and used for a lot of stuff but it had its issues too.

I think ruthless said CT requires tarp. A lot of times spot market brick will require a tarp to cover the middlemen. We hauled it all the time and neither the plants nor the states i was in had any specifics id ever heard of.

 

Sometimes tarps are required to keep road grime off its its raining. But they work good to keep bricks from going bye bye.

Ive loaded a place where they had some plastic netting stuff that you used to wrap your load up. Seemed like a pain in the butt at the time, but sure did keep those bricks in place

 

Use some old pallet slats and pieces of old strap and a box of tacks. Make a really cheap (as in inexpensive) V boards.

 

Last couple loads of cheap heavy bricks I did was plastic wrapped from from the factory......
