I've submitted my application to Swift, and have been speaking to a recruiter there. I'm supposed to call her back about the app this Monday, I guess to setup a date. I'm doing my research before taking any big steps and accepting a date though. I've read so much over the past few months about the fraudulent CDL's that came out of Millington, TN between years 2005 & 2008, and the CDL's getting revoked. I've read about the school being raided & shut down, people losing their CDL's, owing for the school, letters from the states, and so much more.
I'd like to know before taking any steps... Does anyone here know what the situation at Swift looks like now? Have things cleared up a little more now since then? I've read and heard others talk about not having any problems at all since they've been working for them, and that things here lately we're looking a little more promising. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!![]()

Would anyone be able to help out here?

Do you have a CDL already from an accredited school or are you looking to start from scratch?
I would say I don't think they are the worst, I won't say who I think is.
Yes, if you get your CDL through them and don't satisfy the repay, they will expect you to pay them back, and they are not alone in that regard. I would like to see what happens with the lawsuits regarding the issue. I would think no useable license would mean nothing was owed but that would depend on the wording of the signed contract; most places have a point after which you will be expected to pay no matter what happens.
It's better in most cases to get your CDL from an outside source whose training is accepted by the company you are going to. You will still be required to go with a trainer at reduced pay for awhile, but not be bound as long to a company where you don't get along. You will also not owe an inflated amount for incomplete training and your license probably won't be subject to a mass revocation like that mess in Tennessee. -
