I was kind of thinking that,..........I mean really,..How many on those trucking shows show the real deal???,.....None of them,......

Maybe a real trucking reality show would wale up the general public and WASHINGTON,............

Might as well wish in one had and poo poo in the other and see which one gets full first,....

 

We had quite a few discussions about preventive maintenance (or lack of) when he was here last week. I don't believe in attacking/bashing someone in a public forum as this. I perfer one on one. I hope Rob left here with a better understanding of things that needed to be addressed /repaired with his truck.

 

now that someone has put it another way,i do agree with you snowwy!!!!100%you know in the marines they have a saying ,cant and wont leave a fallen man behind!!!if any of you hav been in the military,the battle aint over till theship is sunk,ill give up my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands!!!! yes it is true,if you give up the fight befor its finshed,your gona loose!!!!positve mind and body always prevails,just sometimes we have to back up and think !!!!and yes right now robs in the middle of the battle,he needs our support and help if we can,, and might i add im not rich by anymeans ,but i have bugeted multimillion dollar projects,and have come out on the plus side numerous times,and iv lost a few but the plus side is greater than the lost side due to planning ans scheudualing,and bugeting,and with trucking its differnt but the same,one has to pic their battles,and right now survivial is the balenceing point,,,,

 

i've only had two transmission probs with all of the time (pretty much all illegal) driving. after each one my dad gave me a complete explination of why things happened the way they did.. i can't wait to read about his cause i'm at a loss right now.

purple hippo **News Flash** just got off the phone with him. he dropped the trailer and got the truck rolling so he's heading to Georgia down I-75 hoping to make it to pppr's house.im going that way tommorrow so I guess i'll see him then..

 

I'm glad that you are helping him, and I hope you can teach him useful information on the mechanics of that truck. Like I said before, I hope he makes it, and it will take people like you helping him.

I don't think the intent of that poster was to bash him. I just think it came out that way. I'm not trying to bash him either, just saying what I think. Besides... the purple hippo is quite amusing.

 

Not to be mr negative, Rob is a hell of a guy, but this is exactly why i'd rather spend alot on a new truck, with warranty etc. than to start out with an older, cheaper one.. Because, well, you just never know. You are ALWAYS one breakdown away from going under.. and it sucks, but it's something we have to deal with!
