I was wondering if there's a way to disable the auto mute when putting the LT in reverse. The problem is I have the rear speakers off and when I put it in reverse and back in neutral the rear speakers come back on even though I have them off through the radio settings.

Also the loudness filter is annoying, the more I turn it up the quieter it gets......

I am guessing it is a safety feature to mute the radio when backing up. The radio should be off in my opinion when backing up in the first place

Aaaaahhhh.... Now it makes sense. I didnt even know that was a thing, but I do agree... Backing up= radio off, window down.

I agree with you as well but that's not the problem...... the rear speakers keep turning back on when I have them off and if I disable the auto mute, I'll probably fix my other problem

I'll install my after market media receiver and see if that solves my problem (most likely will) if no other solution

If you own the truck then I'm sure it could be changed by a dealer. Since it auto mutes according to the transmission it is probably a parameter in the ECM somewhere... Which would require hooking it up to a computer to change said parameter.

But I have no idea if this is actually the case or not...

What kind of truck year make and model.
What kind of radio factory or aftermarket
Can you reach inside the dash and unplug the wire?

If the Radio is switch to off does it turn on?

Lastly, why only the rear speakers.

All speakers should mute or unmute together.

Obviously, your eqipment has a serious malfunction, Driver.

You need to look at the radio diagram maybe you can just disconnect it
