The one Six posted, and the one he’s talking about that I mentioned are considered handguns under MD law and are illegal transport here except to and from a range or shop.

    Just beware.

I'd subscribe to don't ask don't tell and especially don't show off.
The very debate about legality of carrying a firearm in CMV is purely academic.
    It is better to ask:
Has anyone ever seen/heard/known anyone arrested for possession of a legal firearm in their truck, despite the firearm owner having all required permits issued in his state? If so, how big of a trouble he got himself into?

If you are rioting you will not be arrested, but self defense is not allowed in woke America.

Not to thread jack. But for drivers carrying a rifle for hunting while OTR. Where do you stow it safely? Thinking of "home time" around some nice tracks of woods.

You should be fine if you have concealed carry permits and you’re traveling in the states that recognize those permits.

Anywhere outside those states and at the very least you’ll have to unload the gun and keep it separate from the ammunition.

You shouldn't need quick access to it when driving, you are controlling a 80k lb weapon.
Shipper/Receiver usually have people around so they are somewhat safe.
It's someone breaking into the cab while your asleep or needing to be outside the truck in a bad area that's concerning. With a in-the-waistband holster no one should ever know it's there.

Check this sucker out, looks to be new to the market:

EMPEROR FIREARMS MOGUL SEMI AUTOMATIC NON NFA

I guess this is the answer to Tac-13's going for over $2k right now.
