Have to pay back the EILD loans. Is it welfare? Besides, every business is taking advantage of this and we all as a country will pay for it one way or another.

I’m still trying to comprehend the welfare queen comment and who fits that description as an owner operator of trucking company.

From what I understand, and please feel free to correct me if I’m misunderstanding the purpose of this loan, it’s to support businesses that are experiencing economic hardships due to COVID-19. That’s far from wanting to be on welfare or for all intense purposes wanting to be a welfare queen.

My company will survive this epidemic but it doesn’t negate the fact that my profits have declined as a result. That clearly signifies that my business has been effected by this epidemic thus making it justifiable for me to apply for the EIDL loan.

Thus, how that makes anyone a wannabe welfare queen by applying for a loan that was created for businesses effected by a national disaster is beyond my understanding.

The bar I goto. He took a 33k PPP loan. He won't pay it back. I didn't ask about the EILD. The other side if an oo has 30k from an EILD they can make different choices that can keep them open.

If you are a “business owner” and are still living basically settlement to settlement, and robbing Peter to Paul. Your doing something wrong, This Pandemic hasn’t fazed me or my bank account one bit. I put money away into multiple savings and rainy day accounts every settlement. I could go approximately 4 months with zero revenue and still meet all my financial obligations.

Maybe you need to learn to save and run a profitable business. Anyone with a heartbeat can make money at $3.50+ a mile, but those that don’t live beyond there means can survive when the rates go in dumpster. No government handouts for me, don’t need them, and don’t want them.

How long you been in business, how many trucks/trailers do you have, and how many employees do you have? What’s your overhead costs per month? How profitable were you when you first obtained your authority? Be honest with your answers. If this information is to sensitive for you to answer on a public forum, call my office in the morning and ask to speak with me directly. We can exchange financial statements so you can educate me on how I don’t have a clue about how to operate a trucking business and how I’m living beyond my means. You can pinpoint where my mistakes are being made.

You know the name of my company and can be easily found by going to FMCSA company snapshot. My information is listed. Call me. All calls are screened so if you get my voicemail, leave me a message and state where you are from and the reason for your call. I will call you and we can talk.

    Seriously, no joking around.

Well obviously your not that successful if your looking for a government taxpayer funded handout to survive. Too many eggs in one basket? Your probably one of the guys that went out bought a bunch of equipment when rates went through the rough in 2018, like I said, if you could fog a mirror you could make money hand over fist. I ve been in this industry going on 26 years, it always has and always will have ebbs and flows, highs and lows. Something I’ve learned after 26 years, don’t live beyond your means and save for a rainy day or the inevitable downturn in the market.
