And if none of us were driving trucks, we'd either be getting into fights with younger co-workers at fast food places, dumpster diving, or any number of things that make the public hate the less fortunate. And then the prison system just gets larger.

I apologize, buddy, you're one of the good ones. I too lost my patience, and when the DMV guy asked if I wanted to transfer my CDL to Colorado, ( $8 bucks), I said, "look pal, I'd stock soup cans at Walmart before I drove a truck, again". This other poster wondering if I'm retarded, "mentally challenged" today, I'd say no, but come to think of it, in this business, it might have helped. Peace, brother.

What I get a kick out of is that PHD from Harvard could pick up a pipe wrench, actually look at you with a straight face, and ask “what’s this”.

And society has some sort of bull-#### expectation that I am supposed to respect HIM by default because HE has some bought and paid for piece of paper??

Well, society can kiss my blue collar ###.

I had an excellent dispatcher explain it to a driver(owner operator) who didn't want to take the load assigned.
She said to him: I have never seen a tractor haul a load on it's fifth wheel. And I have never seen a trailer go down the road without a tractor. Like it or not, we are in this together. I need you. You need me.

That's right. Everyone has to do their job to make the supply chain work. But a lot of drivers expect the world to kiss their ### just because they drive a truck.
