I’m shocked at the price for a good quality drone your gonna spend at least $1000 ,the typhoon H was the one I was referring to and have seen others upto $3000 , there are cheaper versions but don’t fly well in strong wind

    I don't own one.

I did have a neighbor who had one. Not sure what he spent, but it was a good bit.

He used his to take aerial photos of my sandbar, the beach, ocean, sound, etc. Needless to say he's made his money back off of it. He did take some really good photos with it though. I wouldn't pay his prices but others would and have. I'm just cheap. ;)

    Not a helpful post but...

Good luck in finding others. I'm sure there are folks out there with one.

I bought the DJI Mavic Mini. It does not do well on windy days. DJI has the Refresh program that is well worth it when learning to fly a drone. My first flight, it was too windy and I had to land, and walk to retrieve it.

It all depends on what features you want and
How long you want it to fly on a battery.
No need for a 3000 dollar drone.

500 to a 1000 is all you need.
    Hobbytown has drone classes.
I was in one last week.

A roofer company owner was buying a drone
    For a 1000 bucks.
    A real good one.
He can scan roofs and the top of buildings without
    Climbing up there.
It was a must tool for him.

Don't bother with the cheap ones.
    Features you want:
    Collision avoidance,
    Follow me feature,
    And return to home,

That's just the main 3 to start with.

I got the newly release DJI Mavic Air 2.

Very pleased with it so far. Cost $1,000 for the fly more combo which includes extra batteries, propellers, and neutral density filters for filming on a bright day.

Go to Youtube and watch this in full HD, the youtube compression for small screens makes it look like crap.

I have been flying the DJI Mavik Pro for the past 2 plus years. Good flight time of 24-28 minutes with great video quality. It is a rock solid flyer with zero issues of loosing connection while in flight so no fear of losing control of its flight. I use it frequently around truck shows and other areas where losing control could hurt people or damage someone elses property.
