All I can say is get ready to wear a mask on site at shippers and receivers. I'm noticing an uptick in businesses requiring one.

Dale thompson and Brettj3876 Thank this.

About half of the places I have been recently have signs on the door...no mask, no entry.

I can't count how many brokers have hung up on me today after calling on my posted truck.
It's the last day of the month plus it's the week before the 4th of July, c'mon, what do you expect? Run the truck for February rates? Especially since freight volume usually drops drastically right after the 4th.

Some places require PPE, but I don't hear anybody boycotting them.

I certainly would. I had a guy quit last week because the shipper made him where a mask. I didn’t make him do anything btw. I wouldnt make anyone who works for me do anything that I wouldn’t do. Long story short he got so pissed he said to hell with trucking and literally drove it home and quit. Can’t say I blame him even though it totally messes up my capacity.

It’s freaking hilarious especially today. All these pin head brokers that got used to the dollar haulers are so mad right now. I love it.

Good for you, man. I started to sense the turn, and I've been working it. It's paying off big the last few days. The last week was better than the first two of this month, combined. I've put up a pretty solid number of loads. I'll have to look at my numbers here in a few, but I'm pretty pleased.

But is anybody boycotting businesses because they require reflective vests, hard hats, steel toes, and safety goggles?

It really doesn't matter, for everyone that won't wear a mask there will be somebody that will.

    clausland Thanks this.
