I have a 2011 Cascadia with a siezed motor. It's a DD15 . want to know if a 2017 DD15 would be a compatable swap. What are the problems I need to be aware of? Thanks in advance

You might want to consider buying another truck. I hear they’re dirt cheap right now.

Different emissions system yours is air operated, newer ones are electrically operated.
Maybe if you kept your computer's in place it would work.

You would need the whole engine harness to be in tact, the associated MCM on the GHG17 engine, the ATS of the same vintage with same ACM vintage, you would need the 500k CPC4 of same vintage, you would need to convert the J1939 backbone to 500kbaud, you would need a 500k ICU4me...the associated PT wiring, a 500k CGW...500k ABS... and hopefully you run a manual trans too. You'd also need to have compatible SAMcab and SAMchassis with the 500k CGW as well regardless the SAMs CABINCAN--meaning those would need to be upgraded as well.

I'm not sure exactly on everything. But I do know the intake strategy is different between the two. I'd be curious too...
