Poor driver he’s going to feel bad about this for a long time.. personally I don’t proceed till I get the okay from the guard . Procedures must be different over there I suppose. RIP Ma'am

Wait, the security guard has her head between the tandems and doesnt have the brains to get out of there when they hear the brakes release?

This was stupid any one of simple safety protocols could have prevented this tragedy. Easiest imho would be wheel chocks never go between pups until wheels are chocked. Take keys and hang them up in guard shack any number of simple procedures will keep people safe.

When I drove around men on the ground at construction sites or working a trailer I hit the horn before moving. It saved more than 1 guys butt. You have to be smarter than the people.

yes that’s what a responsible driver would do but the security people have to assume drivers will do something wrong.

i tend to fully agree with this.

we do not know for instance, if the driver set all his brakes, or just the tractor, so the guard may not have heard that.

we also do not know if the guard was wearing a hearing aid or hearing plugs, to cut down on the noises.

either way, as you said, a walk around should have been done.

maybe now, he will do just that.

    Bud A., magoo68 and truckdriver31 Thank this.
