Volvo d13 engine swap

    Hi I am looking for some advice on a volvo d13. I have a 2008 volvo with a d13 dpf engine that blew. I dont want to rebuild it. I also have a 2011 with a d13 engine with def that was in an accident and the cab is bad. Can i swap the engine from the 2011to the 2008? If i swap it can i eliminate the def and keep the dpf only? Thanks

    I think they are both H series engines. Youll have a configuration mismatch, which wont mean much to you until you need it programed. Whatever parameters are on the old engine will swap to your new truck, speed gov. etc. idk about the deletes.

    I have a 2010 volvo D13 VNL 780 I want to swap out the motor for a 2016 D13 I am keeping all my old ECM and controls will the engine work in my truck does anyone know >??

    It doesn’t work valve cover will not fit eactly same just the block is the same. Everything else from the 16 engine will work.
