Do truck stops have gym and shower? How do you guys stay fit? The rig is so huge that it will definitely be an obstacle in your way. I mean where to leave that monater if you want to go a gem or restaurant. Lately I have been delivering food to truckers in the middle of nowhere lol.

    I make a little over $7000 a month.

That’s typical top scale in the LTL sector.

Don’t be so quick to dismiss a 70 hour work week. That will wear on you fast.

When you drove for Lyft and uber, you were or still are a contractor. You pay for your own fuel insurance and repairs.

The driver who advised you that he was making $6000 a month most likely was an owner operator just like you were. Except trucks are extremely regulated, repairs and fuel are much more expensive. I don't advise you to just jump into trucking and become an owner operator. It will be disaster for you.

If you start as a company driver, after gaining experience you can make a decent living driving a truck

I had a whiplash injury a year ago, and I still haven't recovered. I still have pain in my neck and right shoulder. How will this affect my trucking?
This injury is one of the reasons I am saying good bye to Uber/Taxi. Trucking seems safe to me.
