Chicago, IL – The co-owner and vice president of a large refrigerated fleet is speaking out and issuing a warning to leaders and residents of cities defunding police.

In a series of recent national and international media interviews, Mike Kucharski, co-owner and V.P. of Illinois-based JKC Trucking, is pulling no punches when it comes to the growing “Defund the Police” movement.

Kucharski, who is a second-generation truck driver, says he was once attacked by an intruder who burst into his truck while making a delivery, and refuses to send his drivers into areas without the presence of law enforcement.

“No load or cargo is worth my driver’s life or safety,” he recently told Canadian radio show host Roy Green. “JKC supports our drivers and police is the critical part of protecting our drivers on the road.”

Kucharski indicated JKC drivers are also expressing their concerns.

“Most of my drivers have already come to me and said, ‘Hey, are we going to have to go into these states?,'” Kucharski told Green.

I’m not worried, he wont make a dent, there will always be some company who will take his spot. Now if all companies say “No” then reversing stupid policy would be observed.

We have pulled out of SeaTac and Portland. Made arrangements with a receiver in Minneapolis that if they wanted us to continue delivering. Their trucks will come into our yard and shuttle the trailers to their facilities, they agreed.

Maybe now but wait until a few more trucks are attacked by rioters. No one in their right mind is going to risk their lives going into an area with no or throttled back law enforcement.

GREAT GREAT posting... I saw that and was going to post it too but you beat me to that.... :biggrin_25519:
Truckers gotta realize the power they have. And you are RIGHT Mr. @kemosabi49 ... as more trucks encounter violent demonstrations and are caught in those, they will refuse going there again... More power to the truckers and trucking companies that speak out and refuse to go to those unsafe places...

That's OK. They'll just move everyone to the suburbs. Get ready for apartments in the middle of your single-family housing tracts and even larger apartment buildings that are near mass-transit. Local zoning laws will have no effect as this is being pushed at state level here in California (no surprise) and has already passed at the federal level but rescinded recently by President Trump.
