I had a 73, an 80 and an 87.
The 73 had the 350/350, 10 bolt front, 12 bolt rear axles, NP 203 chain drive t-case.
The 80 had a NP 205 gear driven t-case (STOUT!)
The 87 had a 305HO (POS), 700R-4 (POS until you built it), 10 bolt front and rear axles (weaker rear axle), and the NP 208 belt drive t-case (POS)
So, if you compared the hardware between that 71 and the 87, the 71 is a much stouter rig.

Is one a these a complete waste of money.? Heritage Arms single action army knock off in .22lr..
For around a buck fifty seems like it would be fun to just mess around with, & shoot on the cheap. Everything I got now 9mm short, .40sw, & .45acp, 9mm luger, the 9 luger is by far the least expensive to shoot..
You can get em without the pinup girls, but I think that's what makes them neat..

The eighties trucks were fine. After your removed smog pump, 4 miles of vacuum hose, rebuilt or installed a engine with some power, and replaced the carbs. Everyone had junk transmissions.
Ford,Gm,Dodge were all plagued with a epa nightmare in those times. Everything was a nutless wonder.cke, 650cat425, PoleCrusher and 5 others Thank this. -
Nothing wrong with them to go plinking around. Really cheap to shoot. But if you never have had a revolver. This may be like a gateway drug to a whole new collection. You will like the simplistic and reliability of them. It's a slippery slope my friend.cke, 650cat425, PoleCrusher and 4 others Thank this. -
Right on time.

The 208 was an aluminum chain drive tcase. Had a lower low range than the 203 and 205.
The 700r4 suffered from the tv cable never being adjusted right and would burn up the clutches for 4th gear. -
