I know, I felt the same way, but the shirts are gay either way at Saia, I mean really is it necessary to have the company name on both the front and back, I went with the polos for more comfort and they do seem to breathe better in the Arizona heat, I have always been a fan of the gray button downs that Estes has, simple and to the point, they don't even put the employees names on them.

Me and my wife met when I was already a line driver, plus we were older, I was 27 she was 29 so this is all she really knows anyway and she has always been real supportive, the majority of my p&d days was when I was single in my 20s, honestly if I had known any better, or known what I know now (famous last words), I would have gone line when I was single and ran hard like Kao and those couple of other single guys do and made some money, even in the 90s linehaul paid good and was substantially more then most p&d work.

Don't get me wrong, not all p&d is bad, I always preferred rural peddle routes, I think Mack does a peddle route and they are cool because you get away from town and the rural customers tend to be alot better as opposed to inter city customers as far as attitude, two of the best routes I ever had as a p&d driver were rural peddle routes, one was covering two counties in northern California and the other was in Nevada covering the towns of Fernley, Fallon, Yerington and Hawthorne and every little community in between, there was always more deliveries than pick ups as well, working in town though it was always the same routine, delivering to customers who not in all cases but some always had an attitude like you were bringing them more work or something.

But yes Texas I would recommend linehaul simply because of the money and less stress, plus no customers to deal with.

No sir. Relieved of duty for the week, and had no interest in signing up for extra work. Playing with the critter kids.
